Role Overview

The Order Manager is responsible for coordinating the complete order fulfillment workflow within a manufacturing setting. This includes managing customer orders from the moment they are received through production planning, shipment, and invoicing. The role depends on close coordination with production, logistics, and customer-facing teams to keep orders moving accurately and on schedule.

Work Location

This position is based in Houston and requires full-time in-office attendance, except for the company’s bi-weekly work-from-home Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full order process by receiving, reviewing, entering, and monitoring customer orders in the ERP system.
• Work with production planning to make sure orders are scheduled and completed on time.
• Partner with logistics and shipping teams to coordinate the delivery of finished products.
• Serve as the main contact for customers regarding order progress, updates, changes, and issues.
• Track inventory levels to confirm finished goods are available when needed.
• Address order mismatches, delays, and quality-related concerns with internal stakeholders.
• Keep all relevant systems and records accurate, current, and well organized.
• Assist sales and customer service teams with questions related to orders.
• Follow company procedures, industry expectations, and any applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a similar discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience may also be accepted.
• Three to five years of experience in order management, sales operations, or supply chain work within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on familiarity with ERP tools and order workflows, including platforms such as NetSuite, HubSpot, Monday.com, and Shipwell.
• Solid understanding of production scheduling and inventory control concepts.
• Strong organizational ability, time management, and attention to detail.
• Comfort managing several priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
