The company offers an energetic environment with room for growth, where individual initiative and team contribution are actively encouraged to help deliver stronger long-term outcomes for clients.

Role Overview

An organised and proactive Paralegal is required to join the legal function. This position will mainly support the Group Legal Team through administrative coordination, document preparation, research, assistance with legal projects, confident use of systems that support legal operations such as vendor management platforms, and supervised legal work.

The role calls for strong organisation, sharp attention to detail, clear communication, professionalism, and a hands-on approach. The successful candidate should be able to anticipate the legal team’s needs and help improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

You will provide day-to-day support to the Group Legal Team and help keep legal operations running smoothly.

  • Handle diary coordination, meeting scheduling, calendar management, and communication follow-ups, including responses to correspondence.
  • Draft, review, organise, and file legal paperwork such as contracts and legal letters.
  • Carry out legal research and collect background information to support the Group Legal Team and other legal colleagues.
  • Administer legal tools and help maintain and update the Group Legal intranet site.
  • Support the creation of legal training materials, presentations, detailed reports, management information, and related documents.
  • Assist with invoicing and related administrative tasks for the legal team.
  • Keep case records and files up to date for legal matters, including litigation.
  • Help execute commercial agreements, NDAs, and other contracts in line with legal team policies and procedures.
  • Carry out other tasks as needed from time to time.
  • Perform supervised review of commercial contracts.
  • Act as a key user for the vendor management system and coordinate with the vendor team.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, organisation, and technical ability, along with the confidence to work with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a flexible and professional approach to stakeholder interaction.
  • High accuracy and strong focus on detail.
  • Strong administrative discipline, filing and document management capability, time management, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
  • Confident computer user with a high level of proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Planner.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with legal colleagues and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines while balancing several competing priorities and staying composed.
  • Curious, self-driven, and interested in personal development.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic achievement, including a 2:1 degree or above.
  • A law degree and Legal Practice Course are preferred but not essential.

FCA and Conduct Requirements

  • Follow all FCA regulations, including Consumer Duty.
  • Raise any procedures or processes that do not align with TCF/RCR principles and suggest improvements to strengthen TCF/RCR practices within the department.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid role with office attendance required three days per week. The days are flexible, but the team should ensure at least one legal team member is present each day, and there must be in-person attendance at the team meeting every second Monday.

Values and Culture

Employees are expected to reflect the organisation’s values of creativity, commitment, and collaboration. The company values fresh thinking, a willingness to go the extra mile, and strong teamwork both internally and with external partners.
