We are seeking a dependable Process Operator who values safety and quality to join the team in Wiri. The role involves working with highly automated production equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. Applicants must hold full-time legal work rights in New Zealand.
Job details
- Work location: Wiri
- Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Employment type: Permanent, full-time
- Selection stages: Interview, assessment, background check, pre-employment medical checks, then final decision
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will support production by keeping equipment and processes running safely and accurately.
- Run industrial cooking systems and production machinery.
- Operate advanced robotic packaging equipment that places chips into packets and then into cartons.
- Capture, report, and enter correct information into computer-based systems.
- Make sure flavour checks are completed properly and that the right flavour is used for each product run.
- Carry out quality inspections and help manage materials and waste.
Experience and qualifications
- Previous experience in processing, food manufacturing, an industrial kitchen, or a cooking-related environment.
- Working knowledge of HACCP and GMP, along with a strong track record of dependable and safe work practices.
- Good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a consistent focus on safety and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a food production team.
- Commitment to helping the team meet food safety targets.
- Interest in building a long-term career in food manufacturing with Bluebird.
