Role overview
Join a fast-growing wedding technology company as a Product Manager based in New York City. In this position, you will help shape Zola’s wedding planning products and work closely with engineering, design, and business teams. Responsibilities
- Direct a cross-functional group of engineers and designers to create, release, and improve products that support growth and user engagement across wedding planning offerings.
- Work with business leaders to shape and own a clear product strategy and roadmap, making thoughtful trade-offs between customer needs and company goals.
- Serve as the main voice and expert for the product area, sharing vision, direction, and results with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Study product performance in depth, using both numbers and user insights to guide decisions and define measurable success criteria.
- Spot risks and opportunities early, manage competing priorities, and keep projects aligned with timelines and expected outcomes.
- Help strengthen the Product team’s direction, culture, and operating practices as the organization continues to scale.
- Promote the use of AI tools and agent-based workflows to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team’s work.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of product management experience in a fast-moving, consumer-oriented technology company.
- Prior experience in a two-sided marketplace or commerce setting is an advantage.
- A strong history of setting product direction and shipping successful products that produced measurable business impact.
- Comfort using quantitative and qualitative data for product decisions, along with familiarity with tools such as Looker and Mixpanel.
- Experience using AI tools and practices in daily work, with awareness of recent developments in the field; experience with Claude is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present to and influence executive audiences.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and juggle several priorities independently.
- Technical fluency and the confidence to participate in discussions about scope and timing with engineers.
- A creative, resourceful, and customer-focused mindset.
- Strong interest in the wedding industry.
- BA/BS is required; a background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business is preferred.
Compensation and work arrangement
The annual salary for this role is between USD 135,000 and USD 155,000. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule in the New York City office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
