Role overview
Gritter Francona is hiring a Project Manager to support Department of Veterans Affairs initiatives tied to Community Care Network Next Generation (CCN NG) readiness, Veterans Financial Management Platform (VFMP) modernization, and related Payer Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) modernization work. This position focuses on coordinating project management activities, scheduling, analysis, testing, and implementation support for complex healthcare modernization programs.
The selected professional will guide the planning, coordination, and delivery of multifaceted modernization efforts, ensuring close alignment across business and information technology teams.
What you'll do
You will build and manage detailed schedules covering system development, modernization work, implementation preparation, and testing milestones. These plans will connect with enterprise Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for CCN NG readiness, VFMP modernization, and associated Payer EDI efforts.
In addition, you will help shape testing approaches, support integration and end-to-end testing, conduct readiness assessments, and prepare weekly executive updates on project status, system readiness, and testing progress. You will also assist VA project leadership by organizing multiple concurrent Payer EDI modernization efforts through schedule control, prioritization of tasks, dependency tracking, and collaboration across functions.
Requirements and qualifications
The preferred educational background is a master's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a closely related field. A bachelor's degree in a relevant area is also acceptable.
A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. The role also calls for at least 6 years of steadily progressive project management experience and at least 4 years of experience supporting federal healthcare programs, ideally within the Department of Veterans Affairs or another federal healthcare agency.
Preferred credentials
Additional certifications that would be advantageous include Program Management Professional (PgMP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification, and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
