Python Developer

Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Python Developer working as an independent contractor on a part-time basis. The position is fully remote and offers hourly compensation between $30 and $130, depending on experience and fit.

The expected commitment is 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, test, and support dependable backend services using Python and Django.
• Create and improve PostgreSQL schemas and queries to keep performance strong and data handling reliable.
• Use AWS tools to deploy applications, support scaling, and monitor system health.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions that support business goals.
• Produce code that is clean, efficient, and well documented, with attention to established development standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix complicated issues across different layers of the application.

Required Experience and Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query tuning.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS services used for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical conversations.
• Ability to operate independently and solve problems proactively in a distributed team environment.
