Role Overview

This position is based onsite in Carrigaline, County Cork, Ireland. The Quality Inspector reports to the Senior Engineer, Quality, and supports inspection and audit activities as directed by the line manager. The role is responsible for in-process, incoming, and outgoing inspection activities assigned for the relevant period.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine products and related paperwork against the required standards, specifications, and internal procedures.
• Record inspection findings and communicate any product or process nonconformances.
• Approve products for shipment to customers, including preparing certificates of conformance and assembling the full customer documentation pack.
• Maintain records through proper filing and archiving in line with operating procedures.
• Work with Production Team Leaders to help ensure priorities are met on time.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as LEAN and 5S activities.
• Provide support to other Quality Inspectors when operational needs require it.
• Assist Operators and Test Technicians as needed to keep business activities running smoothly.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, along with familiarity with relevant inspection standards such as IPC-A-610.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and operating instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• A positive, adaptable approach with the ability to prioritise work and complete tasks reliably.
• Good planning and organisational capability, including effective time management.
