Reach Stacker Operator

Role Overview

This position involves operating a reach stacker or empty handler to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload containers within a terminal, yard, or comparable storage environment.

Core Duties

• Drive the reach stacker to shift containers and other materials around the storage yard, terminal, or similar site.
• Place the machine under, over, or around loaded and empty containers so they can be moved to assigned vehicles or yard positions.
• Carry out basic upkeep tasks on the equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, charging batteries, refueling, or changing the liquefied gas cylinder.
• Use lifting equipment to manually load or unload materials and containers when required.
• Handle both empty and full containers while following the necessary safety measures.
• Make sure containers are moved and placed using the correct handling method.
• Observe all safety procedures during operation of the reach stacker for loading and unloading work.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A diploma or an equivalent educational background is needed.
• A valid operator’s license is required.
• At least 3 years of experience operating lifting devices is expected.
