Research Analyst

Role overview

The Research Analyst position is a part-time remote opportunity with Hospital de Clínicas do Ingá. The role supports evidence-based decisions across both clinical and administrative functions by gathering, structuring, and examining quantitative and qualitative information from internal records, surveys, market intelligence, and other pertinent sources.

What you will do

You will create dashboards, reports, and presentations that translate findings and patterns into clear guidance for stakeholders. The role also includes planning and carrying out research projects, assisting with market and competitor reviews, and evaluating how new programs or initiatives perform.

Working with cross-functional teams, you will help shape research questions, maintain data accuracy, and turn analysis into practical recommendations.

Qualifications and requirements

The ideal candidate should bring strong analytical ability and be comfortable interpreting complex datasets to draw meaningful conclusions. Prior exposure to research planning and execution, including gathering information, documenting results, and summarizing insights, is important.

A solid understanding of statistics is needed, including familiarity with basic statistical tests, data modeling ideas, and statistical software or tools. Experience with market research, especially in healthcare or service-sector markets, competitors, and trends, is beneficial.

Clear written and spoken communication is essential for explaining technical results in an accessible way. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, or a related area is expected; an advanced degree is considered an advantage.

Applicants should be proficient with spreadsheets and data analysis tools such as Excel and Google Sheets, with knowledge of R, Python, SPSS, or similar platforms being a plus. Strong attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines in a remote, part-time environment are also required. Experience in healthcare, hospital operations, or clinical research is preferred, though not mandatory.
