Research Data Scientist - AI Trainer

About the Role

This position is designed for experienced quantitative professionals who want to contribute to AI model training. You will collaborate with advanced AI systems on work such as reviewing AI-produced quantitative analysis, tackling technical problem-solving tasks, and sharing feedback that helps improve how these models reason through data, modeling, and scientific questions. The role is a fit for people from fields such as data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, or other analytical disciplines where rigorous thinking about data and models is essential. Some people use this as a side engagement alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main focus.

How the Process Works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If you are successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid assignments will become available through the platform.

Contract Benefits

• Select the projects you want to take on and decide when you work.
• Work from your own computer on a schedule that suits you, including from home.
• Hourly project pay starts at USD 50 to USD 100+, with additional bonus rates on some assignments.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-created quantitative outputs for accuracy, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific interpretation, and data-based conclusions.
• Create and solve quantitative tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems, covering forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Prepare clear technical write-ups and maintain well-structured analytical code.
• Share feedback that helps improve AI models built for quantitative reasoning.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
• Working coding knowledge, including the ability to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
• Hands-on familiarity with statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experiment design, such as A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
• Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, along with excellent writing ability.
• A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field; a master's degree or PhD is an advantage.
• Extra credentials or proof of expertise are a plus, including Kaggle competition rankings, AWS/GCP ML certifications, or equivalent achievements.
