Role overview

The Sales Development Representative will focus on generating and qualifying new sales opportunities through inbound follow-up and outbound calling and emailing. The role is central to lead generation, pipeline creation, and supporting the sales process by routing qualified prospects to the right business development contact.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and create new sales opportunities, including follow-up on warm leads shared by marketing and other channels.
  • Reach out to prospects through inbound follow-up as well as outbound calls and email campaigns.
  • Research potential customers, build relationships, and move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Assess leads from marketing activities and convert suitable ones into sales-qualified opportunities.
  • Pass qualified prospects to the appropriate Business Development Manager.
  • Maintain accurate activity and qualification records in Salesforce for reporting purposes.
  • Keep current with product updates, pricing structures, and related offerings.

Skills and experience

  • Ideally 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a Sales Development Representative role or a similar position.
  • Exposure to lead generation from marketing campaigns and a track record of meeting sales targets.
