Service Manager

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Service Manager to join a major oilfield services business working across the Middle East. Based in the UAE, this position carries end-to-end responsibility for the performance, efficiency, and profitability of the well testing function.

The role sits at the center of engineering, operations, and client engagement. The successful hire will be expected to improve service delivery, support commercial growth, and strengthen safety standards across a challenging mix of onshore and offshore work. This is a leadership role for someone who combines operational discipline with commercial judgment, can manage customer relationships, lead tender activity, and develop a strong team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main client contact for all contract-related topics and coordinate work between engineering, operations, and the customer.
• Oversee, organize, and track the performance of multiple departments while developing policies and processes that improve output.
• Handle equipment upkeep, spare-parts planning, and technical support to keep onshore and offshore activities running smoothly.
• Review and authorize procurement and equipment purchase needs, while ensuring engineering capability keeps pace with new technologies.
• Maintain regular client engagement, expand the customer portfolio, and identify business opportunities in the wider oil and gas services market.
• Manage tender preparation and follow each submission through to final outcome.
• Track financial results and contribute to the overall commercial strength of the business.
• Build and champion a strong QHSE mindset, integrate QHSE into everyday decisions, and ensure risks are properly identified and controlled.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and all applicable Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of total experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a management position.
• A relevant engineering degree in Drilling, Geology, Mechanical, or Electrical discipline, or an equivalent level of experience.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Good numerical ability and sound financial understanding.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management capability, along with a commercially aware and customer-focused approach.

Additional Information

This position is based in the UAE and covers both onshore and offshore operations. It is a rotational role.
