Software Development Engineer I

Role overviewCSG is hiring a Software Development Engineer I to join its engineering team in India. The role is suited for a developer with strong full-stack exposure, hands-on experience in .NET-based web applications, and the ability to support, troubleshoot, and improve technical processes. The position is remote, with flexibility to work from home, from the office, or in a hybrid setup.What you will doWork on software development tasks using C# and .NET MVC.Build and support applications that use MS-SQL tables, views, and stored procedures.Develop and maintain front-end functionality with JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, and responsive CSS.Use cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services, as part of development or support work.Debug front-end issues and follow established troubleshooting procedures.Work with web service technologies such as RESTful APIs, WCF, .NET Web API, SOAP, and Git.Prioritize multiple assignments and manage concurrent tasks effectively.Investigate reported issues and help resolve them successfully.Provide technical support to users by analyzing problems and driving resolution.What we are looking for3 to 5 years of professional experience in a software development role.A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.Practical experience with C# and .NET MVC.Working knowledge of MS-SQL, including tables, views, and stored procedures.Comfort with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and responsive styling.Exposure to cloud services such as AWS.Understanding of front-end debugging tools and troubleshooting methods.Experience working with RESTful services, WCF, .NET Web API, SOAP, and Git.Good to haveAt least 1 year of experience with AWS, Lambda, and .NET Core.Familiarity with PostgreSQL.Background in the payment industry.Benefits and cultureFlexible work arrangement options, including work from home, office-based work, or hybrid work.Employee belonging groups.Medical, dental, and vision healthcare coverage.Paid vacation, volunteer time off, and holiday leave.Access to additional employee benefits.Accommodation and company informationCSG offers workplace accommodations for candidates and employees with disabilities during the application, interview, testing, and hiring process.
