Role overview

This position is focused on leading technology enhancement and improvement initiatives for engineering, procurement, and operations teams, in line with the defined CTS plan. The goal is to strengthen process safety, operational reliability, cost effectiveness, and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow all applicable HSEF procedures and practices, including awareness of environmental statutory requirements and safety protocols, and contribute to process safety management activities.
  • Work with other site teams to help maintain operational reliability and safety while supporting achievement of production targets.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and participate in training programs to build capability and knowledge.
  • Carry out the CTS plan end to end and implement technology improvement activities according to defined milestones for pilot and scale-up studies.
  • Examine related engineering documents and perform process engineering tasks in line with the plan.
  • Provide technical input for root-cause analysis of complex process and engineering problems.
  • Assess feedstock, chemicals, additives, catalysts, and fuel performance, and document any deviations.
  • Ensure technical integrity of changes and plant modifications by applying required standards and guidelines.
  • Develop, validate, tailor, and maintain simulation and APC models.
  • Prepare and refresh MIS reports and other technology comparison reports.
  • Identify upcoming constraints and technology or product-range trends, and recommend suitable alternatives for implementation.
  • Define upgrades and improvements in existing processes, equipment, and technologies to improve capacity and efficiency.
  • Support execution of plant improvement projects.

Education

A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required. A master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred.

Experience

The role requires at least 3 years of industrial experience, including exposure to the chemical, petrochemical, or refinery sector.
