UX/UI Designer

Role overview

This is a remote hourly contract opportunity for a UX/UI expert working with a Canada-based client. The assignment offers flexible weekly involvement of about 10 to 40 hours, with pay ranging from $15 to $85 per hour.

What you will do

• Create intuitive web and mobile experiences by developing wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual mockups centered on user needs.
• Work closely with teams across functions to shape and deliver clear, engaging interface solutions.
• Make sure design work follows accessibility expectations, usability best practices, and established brand standards.
• Refine concepts using feedback from research, testing sessions, and internal stakeholders.
• Balance usability, visual appeal, and product performance while keeping the end user’s needs at the forefront.
• Keep up with current UX/UI methods, design tools, and industry trends, with special attention to AI-based products.
• Present design ideas in a way that is easy for both technical and non-technical audiences to understand.

What we are looking for

• Proven UX/UI background supported by a portfolio that demonstrates relevant design work.
• Hands-on ability with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid grasp of user-centered design frameworks and processes.
• Experience producing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity screens.
• Clear written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Comfort working with cross-functional partners.
• Experience in user research and usability testing.
