Role Overview
This position is with SP+, part of Metropolis Technologies, an AI-driven mobility company focused on enabling ticketless, app-free, and card-free parking through computer vision. What the Job Involves
The valet driver will support a high-quality customer experience by safely handling vehicles, responding to guest needs, and working collaboratively with the onsite team. The role requires professionalism, safe driving habits, and readiness to work scheduled shifts in uniform.
- Ensure each customer interaction is handled efficiently and that concerns or requests are addressed proactively.
- Check each vehicle before parking it and record any relevant observations.
- Communicate valet pricing clearly to customers.
- Follow traffic regulations and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
- Escalate accidents, safety risks, unusual incidents, and policy breaches to management.
- Use local route knowledge, including major roads, landmarks, and highways, to support smooth service.
- Arrive on time for every assigned shift in a clean uniform and remain in uniform throughout the shift.
- Take on additional duties as directed by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates should hold a valid state driver’s license, have a current address, and maintain an acceptable driving record. The job also calls for strong communication skills, the ability to interact calmly with customers and coworkers, and comfort following both written and spoken instructions. Applicants should be able to read and write, perform basic arithmetic involving U.S. currency, and adapt to changing conditions, delays, and unexpected events in a composed manner.
- Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
- Current residential address.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is an advantage.
- Willingness to work special schedules, including second shift, third shift, and weekends if needed.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S., with supporting documentation required if hired.
- Professional communication and problem-solving skills when dealing with customers or coworkers.
- Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency.
- Capacity to understand instructions, emails, and memos, and to adapt calmly to changes and delays.
Physical Requirements
The role involves frequent standing, walking, and use of hands for handling cash and equipment. Some sitting, climbing, and balancing may also be required. Employees must occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
The posted wage is $14.00 per hour, and the role is also eligible for tips in addition to the hourly pay. Benefits for eligible employees include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, long-term and short-term disability insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
