Role overview

A client is looking for a Video Editor to join a project-based assignment that runs through the end of the year. The work is centered on art direction and narrative storytelling, with a strong need for someone who can turn a defined brand vision into refined, cohesive final videos while protecting a consistent visual style.

This assignment has variable weekly hours, with an expected range of 0 to 20 hours per week. The editor will work on a mix of short-form and longer-form pieces depending on project needs.

Creative style

• Polished, understated, and clean visual treatment
• Documentary-led storytelling with a cinematic feel
• Limited animation, with most emphasis placed on real footage and narrative pacing
• Interviews should be used strategically to move the story forward

What you'll do

• Shape interview-driven footage into compelling, story-focused edits
• Work from detailed storyboards and creative briefs supplied for each assignment
• Choose and assemble clips so the final sequence communicates a clear and engaging narrative
• Apply direction on video format, platform placement, opening structure, speaker identification, supporting b-roll, ending flow, and key messages
• Keep every output aligned with the brand's fonts, tone, design language, and overall visual standards
• Produce both concise and extended edits as project requirements change
• Stay in communication with the team and join occasional meetings or check-ins as needed

Experience and qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional video editing experience, or a portfolio that clearly demonstrates equivalent storytelling and technical ability
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Proven ability in art direction and conceptual storytelling
• Confidence in interpreting creative direction and delivering work accurately and consistently
• Background editing documentary-style or interview-led content
• Strong taste for clean, refined, brand-consistent visuals
• Clear communication skills and dependable responsiveness
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with the creative vision

Eligibility and work authorization

To be represented for this opportunity, candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa such as H-1B, TN, or O visa. Support or training for STEM/OPT programs is not provided. Candidates must also be physically located in the United States and complete the work there for the client.
