About the internship

This in-office internship is focused on product design for a growing range of backpacks, sling bags, and related accessories. The role involves transforming ideas into workable concepts, refining them through feedback, and supporting the development of designs from sketch stage to sampling-ready execution.

What you will do

• Create and refine concept sketches for upcoming products, including backpacks, sling bags, and accessories.
• Prepare flat drawings and technical artwork for approved concepts using Illustrator.
• Study reference products, competitor offerings, international trends, and suitable materials or hardware.
• Work closely with the founders to align on design direction and close feedback loops quickly.
• Share fresh concept sketches or renders with the founding team for regular review.
• Develop colour combinations and material choices for shortlisted designs.
• Build spec sheets and tech packs for designs that are moving into sampling.
• Maintain organised design files and revision histories for strong version control.
• Identify and shortlist reference materials and hardware such as zippers, buckles, and webbing.
• Coordinate with sampling and production teams to review prototype feedback, construction issues, fit, and cost impact.
• Compare physical samples with the original design intent and highlight any deviations.
• Help create a coherent product line with a consistent design language across multiple SKUs.
• Carry out regular trend and competitor audits across local and global daily-carry and backpack categories.
• Support marketing and content teams with renders or design assets for launches and product pages when required.
• Assist with packaging or accessory-related design elements connected to the collection.
• Join vendor or factory discussions and site visits whenever construction clarification is needed.

Eligibility

Applications are open only to candidates who can commit to a full-time, in-office internship, begin between 2 July 2026 and 6 August 2026, and stay for six months. Applicants should bring relevant skills and genuine interest in product design. Women looking to begin or restart their careers are also encouraged to apply.

Additional information

The stipend includes a fixed component of ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 per month along with an incentive component of ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 per month.
