Accountant

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Accountant position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will oversee everyday finance activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure smooth accounting operations across the business.

Core Duties

You will be responsible for recording and matching financial transactions, handling payables and receivables, and keeping the general ledger accurate and up to date. The role also includes preparing financial statements and management reports, contributing to budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.

In addition, you will support audit preparation and regulatory reviews by organizing required documents, while ensuring that accounting work follows applicable standards, internal policies, and local legal requirements. You will also work with other teams to explain financial data, clear discrepancies, and support day-to-day business decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong command of financial accounting practices, including general ledger work, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ability to prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and complete account reconciliations.
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems, along with advanced Excel ability and careful attention to numerical details.
• Working knowledge of accounting standards, tax rules, and basic audit processes.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform independently and contribute effectively in a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are considered an added advantage.
• Exposure to aviation, logistics, or a comparable industry is helpful, as is experience with multi-currency transactions.
• Must be able to work on-site in Jeddah and handle responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment.
