Position Summary
The Accounts Assistant will handle day-to-day finance and bookkeeping tasks, helping keep records accurate, transactions processed on time, and internal and regulatory requirements followed.
Accounts Payable
- Check supplier bills against the relevant supporting paperwork and process them for payment.
- Prepare vendor and supplier payments.
- Match supplier statements with company records and sort out any differences.
Accounts Receivable
- Create and send invoices to intercompany entities.
- Post incoming receipts and keep customer accounts updated.
Bank and Cash Management
- Carry out bank reconciliation work.
- Track and record cash-related transactions.
General Accounting
- Keep accounting data accurate through proper record maintenance and data entry.
- Support month-end, quarterly GST, and year-end closing tasks.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliation schedules.
- Work in line with accounting standards and company procedures.
Administrative Support
- Organize and maintain filing for financial documents.
- Support procurement activity and inventory record-keeping when needed.
- Handle other ad hoc assignments from management.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should hold a Diploma, LCCI, A-Level, NITEC, or an equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. The ideal person is careful, well-organized, and attentive to detail, with solid communication and interpersonal abilities. The role also requires someone who can work on their own and manage deadlines effectively.
