Role Summary
The Associate - Urban Planning role is based in Dubai and is suited to a detail-focused, analytical professional who can support urban planning initiatives that influence the city’s future growth. The position involves working with senior planners, government bodies, and community stakeholders on efforts tied to urban design, infrastructure development, and sustainable expansion. The role calls for strong organization, technical capability, and a commitment to high-quality planning work.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess development proposals, zoning submissions, and land-use plans.
- Research and organize information on population patterns, market conditions, and regulatory needs to support planning decisions.
- Draft technical reports, supporting documents, and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Use GIS and CAD tools to develop and evaluate maps, site layouts, and urban design visuals.
- Help organize community engagement sessions and stakeholder consultations related to planning work.
- Check projects for alignment with local zoning rules, building regulations, and Dubai’s planning framework.
- Work alongside architects, engineers, and government representatives on coordinated planning initiatives.
- Keep project records, files, and databases well organized and maintained to company standards.
- Support planning strategies aimed at promoting inclusive and sustainable urban growth.
- Track project schedules and deliverables to help ensure timely completion.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science is required. The position also calls for at least 8 years of professional urban planning experience, preferably gained in a planning consultancy or development setting.
Additional Information
