Role overview
Ryman Healthcare is looking for an experienced and approachable Barista to join the team at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village in Invercargill, Southland. This is a full-time, onsite position working Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
What you will do
- Deliver high-quality food and beverage service in the village café for residents, family members, and visitors.
- Prepare coffee and other drinks to a consistently high standard.
- Create a warm, caring, and welcoming café environment.
- Keep the café clean, tidy, and well organised.
- Work collaboratively with team members and provide support where needed.
What we are looking for
- Prior barista experience in a busy café setting.
- Proven ability to make coffee; this is essential for the role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence handling multiple tasks at once, including coffee preparation, customer service, and food service.
- A friendly, compassionate, and professional manner.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment.
Eligibility
Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand. While overseas candidates are sometimes considered, this role requires New Zealand work rights because of immigration requirements.
