Role Overview

The CSA Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed Civil, Structural and Architectural estimates with support from the pre-construction team. The role involves building Bills of Quantities from 2D drawings and/or BIM models, selecting the most efficient approach for each project, and engaging the local supply chain to secure up-to-date market pricing. The final output will be a fully priced and compliant bid, including all client-facing pricing documents required for submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Lead Estimator and wider pre-construction team to complete estimates and present them to the Group CSA Estimation Manager.
• Manage tender documentation for each bid, reviewing drawings, specifications, addenda, and supporting files to identify every measurable and priceable scope item.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost plans using CostX, including both 2D and 5D estimation methods.
• Request and review quotes from vendors and subcontractors, checking for gaps, inconsistencies, and making sure accurate figures are built into the bid.
• Coordinate with the construction team to gather rates that reflect real project costs and lessons learned from previous work.
• Track all tender addenda issued before and after tender submission, assess the impact of changes, and update pricing accordingly.
• Work efficiently to meet demanding deadlines, keeping the Bill of Quantities process on schedule.
• Travel occasionally for day trips or overnight stays to attend client meetings, including mid-bid and post-bid meetings when required.

Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
• At least 7 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimating is needed.
• Experience in CSA commercial work for data centre projects is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of CostX, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and BIM360 is essential.
• Demonstrated experience on projects valued above €10 million to €15 million.
• Very strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy are expected.
• Excellent capability in Bill of Quantities preparation and pricing.
