Role overview
This is a 32-hour-per-week position, arranged across any 4 days out of 6, and it includes bank holidays. The role sits at the front line of the business, so a warm, customer-focused approach is essential. You will be delivering frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals to customers and helping bring a positive experience to their door, whatever the weather.
The job also involves working in a coldstore environment kept at -20°C. Suitable protective clothing will be supplied, and breaks will be provided so you can warm up and have a hot drink when needed.
You will be expected to support the wider team, including office colleagues and picking staff, and to step between teams where needed. This flexibility is encouraged to support business needs, personal development, and a broader understanding of how the operation works.
Wiltshire Farm Foods, part of the apetito group, is the UK’s largest ready-meal supplier and delivers more than 330 frozen meal options across the UK, mainly to elderly customers, their families, and healthcare professionals. The organisation focuses on delivering good old-fashioned service, continuous improvement, ethical practice, and sustainability.
Main duties
- Deliver frozen meals to customers promptly and safely.
- Pick customer orders within the coldstore.
- Use the mobile app to keep delivery information updated.

- Drive legally, responsibly, and with care at all times.
- Clean and refuel the van when required.
- Report discrepancies, delays, stock quality concerns, health and safety issues, and mechanical problems to the office.
- Maintain customer confidentiality.
- Support the office team and picking team whenever needed.
- Cover for colleagues who are absent or on holiday.
- Carry out local promotional activity such as leaflet drops and visits to sheltered housing to help attract new customers.
Additional information
The pay rate is £13.45 per hour, with bonus and company benefits. The business is a family-owned organisation committed to creating nutritious meals and making a real difference to customers’ lives. It supports British food and farming, uses ethical and sustainable produce, and aims to reach Net Zero by 2040. The company is recognised by the ETI and is an accredited Living Wage employer. It also promotes inclusion and aims to build a workplace where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
