Equipment Technician

About the Role

We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented Equipment Technician to support a wafer fabrication facility in Senoko, Singapore. In this position, you will handle first-level maintenance, repairs, and day-to-day operational support for high-volume manufacturing equipment, helping keep downtime low and product quality consistent.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine autonomous preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Handle gas cylinder replacements and perform chemical etching of parts when required.
• Diagnose faults in tools and basic equipment and restore them to working condition efficiently.
• Support the engineering team in installing, setting up, and qualifying new equipment and processes.
• Complete daily inspections, track tool performance, and escalate production or safety issues as needed.
• Serve as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Take ownership of spare parts inventory and related management tasks.

Requirements

• Nitec or Higher Nitec qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another relevant technical field.
• Previous experience working as a technician or in a comparable equipment maintenance position, ideally within semiconductor manufacturing or a cleanroom setting.
• Good analytical ability along with strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.
