About the Role

Pret A Manger USA is expanding its finance function as the brand invests in growth and operational transformation in the U.S. market. This position sits within a team focused on building stronger processes, improving visibility, and supporting a rapidly evolving business environment.

As a Finance Analyst, you will partner closely with the VP of Finance and work across accounting operations, financial planning, payroll analysis, HR benefits cost tracking, and supply chain finance. The role is well suited to someone at the start of their finance or accounting journey who enjoys structure, problem-solving, and learning how different parts of the business connect financially.

What You Will Do

  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable work such as reviewing invoices, assigning codes, and monitoring transaction flow.
  • Prepare and maintain purchase orders and assist with vendor payment processing.
  • Build and update a detailed map of how invoices move through the company’s systems and approvals.
  • Spot opportunities to streamline invoice handling, strengthen purchasing controls, and make workflows more efficient.
  • Track actual spend by category against monthly budgets and forecasts.
  • Watch for overspend, unusual patterns, or other cost risks and raise them early.
  • Support variance analysis and provide schedules for monthly finance reviews.
  • Contribute to ad hoc analysis and reporting assignments.
  • Learn Pret’s benefits programs in depth, including health insurance, PEO arrangements, dental coverage, and related employee benefits.
  • Forecast and monitor benefits-related costs and help evaluate alternative structures and vendors.
  • Support weekly payroll processing alongside the HR team.
  • Review payroll data for accuracy, trends, and issues before submission.
  • Own supply chain finance administration, including invoice management and related financial tracking.
  • Check pricing consistency across Food Management Systems, Distribution Centers, suppliers, and restaurant platforms.
  • Audit pricing changes and identify mismatches before they affect operations or reporting.
  • Assist the Supply Chain team with invoice disputes, vendor cost tracking, and savings analysis.
  • Support financial analysis for food, packaging, and other operational supply costs.
  • Manage the full supplier credit process for restaurant locations.
  • Track, validate, and reconcile credits tied to pricing errors, shortages, damaged goods, promotions, rebates, and quality concerns.
  • Maintain clear records and reporting for open and recovered credits.
  • Serve as Finance’s main partner to the HR/People and Supply Chain teams.
  • Translate operational decisions into financial impact.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships that improve communication and business visibility.
  • Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement work as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, or business analysis.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including comfort working with large datasets.
