Finance Manager

Role Overview

éirconnect is expanding rapidly as one of Ireland’s fast-growing business telecom providers, and the company is seeking a commercially astute Finance Manager to lead the finance function. This is a senior, practical role that combines day-to-day financial leadership with strategic support for the wider management team.

Based in Dublin, the position carries end-to-end responsibility for finance operations, reporting accuracy, cash flow oversight, billing efficiency, and financial control. The role also contributes to decision-making, business performance, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

You will own the full finance function and work closely with senior leadership to keep the business financially disciplined, efficient, and profitable.

• Take complete ownership of finance operations and reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and analyse profit and loss performance.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Forecast and manage cash flow.
• Support budget preparation and wider financial planning.
• Provide regular financial reporting and performance updates to senior leaders.
• Track company results against budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee customer invoicing, billing, debtor ledgers, aged debt, credit control, and collections.
• Handle billing queries, payment issues, and dispute resolution.
• Improve cash collection across the business.
• Manage supplier invoices, payment runs, and expense approvals.
• Maintain good supplier relationships and ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
• Supervise payroll processes.
• Support revenue, VAT, and tax compliance obligations.
• Work with external accountants, auditors, and advisers.
• Strengthen internal controls and finance procedures.
• Review existing processes and introduce improvements through automation and technology.
• Maintain accurate financial data across multiple systems.
• Support the business with commercial insight, pricing analysis, margin reviews, and profitability assessments.
• Assist with contract reviews, supplier negotiations, KPI dashboards, and management reporting.

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will bring senior finance experience, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.

• Prior background as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or senior finance professional.
• Solid knowledge of management accounts, P&L reporting, and cash flow management.
• Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong commercial judgement and business understanding.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organised with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the company.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Experience with Zoho One, especially Zoho Books, Zoho CRM, Zoho Expense, and Zoho Subscriptions, is highly valued.
• Background in telecommunications, technology, SaaS, or subscription-led businesses is strongly preferred.
• Experience with recurring revenue and direct debit billing models is an advantage.
