Role summary
Healthcare Services Group is looking for a Floor Tech to help keep flooring in a long-term care community clean, safe, and well-presented. This position supports the overall resident and customer experience by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and appearance.
What you will do
- Carry out floor care work such as cleaning, polishing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, shared spaces, and office areas.
- Use floor maintenance machines and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Keep accurate notes of floor care work completed and flag any safety or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow infection prevention practices and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Interact courteously with residents, staff, and visitors while delivering strong customer service.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience in floor care is helpful, though not mandatory.
- You should bring a positive attitude and be able to communicate effectively with facility occupants, management, and HCSG leadership during daily work.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is needed.
- You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds, and be capable of standing, sitting, bending, and walking for long periods.
- This job requires comfort with repetitive tasks performed continuously.
- You must be able to work around food and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions and complete routine tasks every day is required.
- Residency in the service area is required.
