Role Overview
This freelance opportunity is suited to an early-career designer who wants to build a portfolio through hands-on client projects. You will work with the Creative Team on a project or part-time basis, supporting designers and creatives across PR, social, digital, and integrated campaigns.
The role involves turning concepts into visual assets for a fast-paced agency setting. You will work from briefs and creative direction, learn through feedback and revisions, and gain exposure to the full design process from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
As a Freelance Designer, you will contribute to creative output across multiple channels and formats. Your work will include adapting and producing assets for campaigns, presentations, reports, web, email, and social platforms.
- Create and adapt design assets for social media posts, digital advertisements, presentation decks, reports, and basic web or email visuals.
- Convert creative briefs and direction into clear, visually consistent layout options and explore alternatives when needed.
- Assist with motion-based social content such as animations, reels, and story formats under senior creative guidance.
- Organise, refine, and prepare design files for internal review and client-facing presentations.
- Resize, reformatted, and localise existing artwork for different markets, channels, and specifications.
- Collaborate with account and PR teams to present stories through infographics, micrographics, data visuals, and content layouts.
- Apply brand systems consistently, including colour, typography, spacing, hierarchy, imagery, and overall design standards across print and digital work.
- Incorporate feedback constructively, make revisions efficiently, and maintain a high level of quality throughout the process.
- Over time, contribute original design thinking and visual recommendations that support the larger campaign concept.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is organised, detail-focused, and interested in how design supports brand, communications, and marketing objectives. You should be comfortable working in a changing environment and eager to sharpen your skills through real agency work.
You should have a portfolio that demonstrates strong layout ability, typography, visual storytelling, and experience working within brand systems across static, digital, and motion-oriented projects.
Requirements
- Hands-on design experience with the ability to work independently and manage a project from brief to final output.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma.
- Ability to switch between static and motion-based workflows; experience with 3D work is an added advantage.
- Capability to produce light to medium motion graphics for social and digital content, including storyboarding, simple animation, cutdowns, and reels using tools such as After Effects or Premiere Pro.
- Understanding of social media formats and platform requirements, including Meta, LinkedIn, X, and Threads.
- Ability to design UI layouts and interfaces for websites, landing pages, or simple product experiences, from wireframes to polished screens.
- Strong video editing skills, including trimming, transitions, pacing, audio synchronisation, and simple text or graphic overlays.
- Excellent attention to detail across design systems, typography, colour usage, spacing, and pixel-level refinement.
- Comfort working to creative direction while still adding thoughtful and original ideas.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment and communicate clearly about progress and dependencies.
- Openness to feedback and a willingness to refine work through iteration.
- Experience using AI tools such as Midjourney, Gemini, or similar tools for static and moving imagery, with the ability to integrate those outputs professionally into design workflows.

This is a strong opportunity for a freelance designer who wants to grow a portfolio through genuine agency work. You will collaborate with ambitious colleagues, be exposed to a wide range of creative projects, and have room to develop both your craft and your confidence.
