Role overview

The company is hiring a hardworking Helper for its Al Ain operations. This role supports construction and marine project activities by assisting skilled tradespeople, handling tools and materials, and helping maintain a safe and orderly worksite.

Key duties

• Prepare work areas by arranging tools, equipment, and materials before tasks begin.
• Support carpenters, fitters, masons, and other team members whenever required.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery as directed.
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisors, group leaders, and foremen.
• Help the storekeeper with sorting, tracking, and managing materials stock.
• Clean tools, equipment, and work zones at the end of each shift.
• Work in different settings, including shoreline areas and confined spaces.
• Follow safety rules and use the required personal protective equipment.
• Help prevent incidents by keeping the worksite tidy and organized.
• Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to complete project support tasks.
• Carry out miscellaneous assistance duties needed for successful project completion.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 3 years of UAE experience in construction or marine-related work is required.
• Overall, 5 years of experience in a similar field is expected.
• Hands-on familiarity with hand tools and power tools is necessary.
• Applicants should be physically fit and capable of manual labor.
• A basic understanding of workplace safety and a willingness to follow procedures are important.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately are needed.
• Candidates must be comfortable working in changing weather and varied environments.
• Good housekeeping and organizational habits are required.
• A cooperative attitude and readiness to assist the team are essential.
• Basic English communication skills are needed.
• Swimming ability is preferred.
• Prior knowledge of rigger or fitter helper tasks is preferred.
• The ability to work efficiently and meet project timelines is important.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities is expected.

This is a full-time onsite position in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The role involves work in marine and construction environments, including near shorelines and in confined spaces.
