Role Overview
The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping the property clean and presentable by carrying out assigned cleaning tasks and following the supervisor’s direction. The work covers trash removal, floor mopping, dusting, vacuuming, glass and wall cleaning, restroom sanitation, and general upkeep of public and office areas.
Key Duties
- Complete the daily cleaning checklist each day.
- Keep interior spaces clean and help maintain the property’s overall curb appeal.
- Clean the property’s tour route twice per day.
- Set up small furniture pieces for staging when needed.
- Clean all elevator surfaces where elevators are present.
- Disinfect and maintain fitness equipment.
- Carry out daily mopping and vacuuming in all assigned spaces.
- Ensure amenity areas remain tidy and welcoming throughout the day.
- Work a full shift as scheduled.
- Be available for extra hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Support move-outs, turns, and move-ins, even when those tasks extend beyond standard full-time hours.
- Be able to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds and perform bending, stooping, and lifting during the workday.
Requirements
- Ability to complete a full scheduled work shift.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when needed.
- Availability to assist with move-outs, turn tasks, and move-ins outside normal hours.
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort with bending, stooping, and other physically active cleaning duties.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Prior exposure to student housing or multi-family environments is preferred.
