Position Summary
The Housekeeper provides hospitality-oriented cleaning services while following all applicable laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. This role reports to the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Clean assigned spaces within the required timeframe using the correct cleaning products, including occupied and vacant units, patios, decks, common areas, offices, lobbies, elevators, lounges, public restrooms, laundry rooms, dining spaces, and similar areas.
- Perform vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, glass and window cleaning, high- and low-level cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing or conditioning wood surfaces.
- Keep cleaning carts stocked and inform the supervisor when supplies are running low.
- Store tools, equipment, and supplies in the proper manner after use.
- Inform supervisors when bulbs need replacement.
- Escalate repair needs, mechanical issues, or equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Report any concerning resident behavior or unsafe/unacceptable conditions to the supervisor.
- Share resident concerns or complaints with the supervisor.
Additional Requirements
- You should genuinely enjoy working with seniors.
- A patient, tactful, upbeat, and enthusiastic attitude is important, along with the ability to handle challenging residents.
- You must be capable of making sound independent decisions when needed.
- The role requires working efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Professional relationships must be maintained with coworkers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Confidential and proprietary information must be protected at all times.
- You are expected to demonstrate integrity and professionalism by following Century Park’s Code of Ethics and completing all required compliance training.
