Role Overview
Our client is a multinational industrial services business supporting essential infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, technology, and complex project work. With a footprint across several continents and a strong track record in delivering mission-critical projects, the company is now entering a major growth phase in one of its most strategically significant regions.
The organisation is looking for an outstanding people leader to work closely with the Managing Director of a large regional operation employing several hundred people across multiple countries. The business has ambitious expansion plans and is focused on strengthening a high-performance culture that balances commercial results, operational discipline, and strong leadership capability.
This is a highly commercial HR leadership position, designed for someone who believes strong people decisions come from understanding how the business truly works. You will spend substantial time with leaders and teams, learning how the operation runs, how customers are served, how revenue is created, and what is limiting performance.
Your credibility will come from being visible across the business and developing a deep understanding of commercial drivers, operational pressures, and growth opportunities. With that insight, you will influence organisational structure, talent planning, leadership effectiveness, workforce planning, and culture to help drive stronger business outcomes.
As part of the leadership team, you will serve as a trusted partner to the Managing Director and senior leaders, offering support, constructive challenge, and informed perspective so that people decisions deliver measurable commercial value.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Managing Director and leadership team to define and deliver business strategy.
- Build a strong understanding of the company’s commercial and operational reality through regular interaction with frontline employees, operational leaders, and commercial teams.
- Convert business insight into practical people initiatives that lift performance, productivity, engagement, and growth.
- Lead organisational design, workforce planning, and capability-building work that supports long-term expansion.
- Coach, challenge, and support senior leaders in building a culture of accountability, inclusion, and high performance.
- Use people and business data to spot risks, identify opportunities, and define future capability needs.
- Drive succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement programmes.
- Lead major change and transformation initiatives across a complex multi-country environment.
- Act as the main link between the business and specialist people teams, ensuring solutions remain aligned with commercial priorities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded people leader with a natural curiosity about how businesses operate. You are likely to have partnered with senior operational and commercial leaders in fast-moving, complex environments where growth, transformation, and performance are critical.
- Demonstrable experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives.
- Strong background in large, complex, multi-country organisations.
- Clear commercial awareness and the ability to connect people strategy with business results.
- A track record of working closely with the business rather than observing it from afar.
- Experience shaping senior stakeholder views through insight, credibility, and constructive challenge.
- Proven success leading change, organisational development, and growth-focused initiatives.
- Solid understanding of operational and frontline environments.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capability.
- Experience in the Middle East would be a strong advantage.
- Arabic and English language ability would be helpful.
