Role overview
This is an intermediate onsite IT support position based in Singapore for a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. The role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable handling hands-on technical support in a busy office environment. You will work across Windows endpoints and servers, support users through onboarding and offboarding, and help keep collaboration tools and core Microsoft services running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver second-line support for Windows desktops such as Windows 10 and 11, along with server environments, by resolving hardware and software issues, applying updates, and improving performance.
- Handle user joiner and leaver activities, including account setup, device provisioning, and configuring access permissions.
- Set up and support Microsoft Teams meeting rooms, making sure audio and video devices, calendars, and other peripherals work properly for hybrid meetings.
- Carry out basic Active Directory administration, including user and group maintenance, policy application, and access review checks.
- Use SCCM to deploy software and images, manage endpoint patching, and support compliance reporting.
- Administer Office 365 tasks such as licensing, email configuration, SharePoint access, and troubleshooting collaboration services.
- Work with remote IT colleagues to escalate complex incidents and contribute to internal documentation and knowledge-base articles.
- Perform regular hardware checks, tidy cabling, and assist with basic office network troubleshooting.
- Follow internal IT policies and security practices to support data protection and compliance.
Required experience and skills
- Strong practical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, especially Windows 10 and 11, as well as Windows Server platforms such as 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Experience supporting user onboarding and offboarding processes, including the use of provisioning tools and clear documentation.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams rooms, including integration with AV hardware.
- Basic working knowledge of Active Directory user and group administration and Group Policy Objects.
- Familiarity with SCCM for software rollout, patch management, and asset inventory.
- Working understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and admin portal tasks.
- Good customer service and communication abilities when supporting non-technical users.
- Capability to prioritise tasks in a changing environment and document resolutions clearly.
- Analytical problem-solving approach for diagnosing and fixing IT issues efficiently.
- 1 to 2 years of IT support experience, with at least 1 year focused on Windows environments and Microsoft tools.
- Background in onsite support, including hardware setup and end-user guidance or training.
Work environment
This role is designed for someone who can work independently, manage multiple support requests, and operate effectively in a fast-moving office setting while coordinating with distributed IT teams.
