Role overview
This position is for a motivated onsite support engineer based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. The role focuses on providing technical help to customers across the local base, with hands-on responsibility for installing, maintaining, and resolving issues related to both hardware and software. You will act as the company’s onsite point of contact while also collaborating with the broader support function to ensure service quality remains consistently strong.
Core responsibilities
- Set up and configure desktop systems, servers, and networking equipment.
- Carry out onsite diagnosis and repair work whenever the issue can be fixed locally.
- Handle user support cases face to face and remotely, and see them through to resolution.
- Keep accurate logs of incidents, actions taken, and final outcomes in the internal ticketing platform.

The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong customer focus, and the ability to learn quickly in changing environments. Comfort working independently, adapting to different customer settings, and communicating clearly with users and colleagues is important.
Skills and experience
Applicants should have 0 to 1 year of experience in IT support and a solid grasp of PC, laptop, and server hardware. Hands-on familiarity with Windows Server 2008/2012, Microsoft Office, networking, Active Directory, desktop operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and macOS, plus Apple/Mac devices and Citrix environments, is expected. Useful additional background includes certifications such as MCP, MCITP, A+, or CCENT, experience in data center settings, and exposure to ticketing tools and ITIL-based processes.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree or Associate Degree in an IT or Engineering-related field is preferred.
