Junior QA Tester

Role Overview

This remote full-time opportunity is for a Junior QA Tester based in the United Kingdom. The position is intended for people at the start of their careers, including recent graduates and professionals with up to one year of experience, who want to grow in software quality assurance and testing.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will help maintain the quality, stability, and responsiveness of web and mobile applications. You will do this by running test scenarios, spotting and logging defects, confirming fixes, and partnering with development and product teams to help deliver dependable software.

• Run manual test cases across web and mobile platforms.
• Record, organize, and monitor defects through bug-tracking systems.
• Check fixes after issues are resolved and perform regression testing.
• Support the creation of test strategies, test cases, and testing records.
• Work alongside developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders.
• Take part in release activities and broader quality assurance work.
• Assist with user acceptance testing activities.
• Help confirm that software satisfies functional and non-functional expectations.
• Contribute ideas to improve testing workflows and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-focused, comfortable with analytical problem-solving, and eager to learn QA practices and tools.
