Role overview
This is a senior operations leadership role with a respected UK manufacturer based in Cranleigh, Surrey. The position offers a salary of £60,000 to £70,000 per year, depending on experience, plus profit share bonus, free daily lunch, early finish Fridays, a paid birthday day off, and other benefits. The business is expanding, and this role is intended for someone who can improve performance while helping shape future growth.
The successful person will take ownership of production, warehouse, and logistics activity, ensuring goods are made, moved, and delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The role calls for a practical leader who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day visibility on the shop floor.
What you'll do
- Direct and support the warehouse, production, and logistics teams.
- Improve OTIF performance so orders are delivered complete and on time.
- Oversee production planning, workflow, and the use of labour and other resources.
- Raise standards across efficiency, output, and product quality.
- Coach and develop team members to strengthen engagement and performance.
- Manage transport and logistics activity to keep service reliable and cost-effective.
- Introduce and sustain Lean, 5S, and other continuous improvement practices.
- Protect stock accuracy and maintain strong inventory controls.
- Track operational KPIs and act on performance trends.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety laws and good practice.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Procurement, and Senior Leadership.
- Help build the operational capacity needed for business growth and scalability.
