Overview

M42 is a broad healthcare network delivering care from primary services through advanced specialty treatment. The organization uses modern health technologies and precision medicine to improve outcomes, efficiency, and patient experience. Its footprint spans more than 480 facilities in 27 countries, supported by a workforce of over 20,000 people.

Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre (ADTC) acts as the centralized call center for the M42 network and serves as a single access point for patients across the UAE and beyond. It helps route patients to the right care, coordinate appointments, and provide responsive support across M42 hospitals and clinics using advanced telecommunications and dedicated teams.

The Pharmacy Informatics Lead is a strategic role focused on advancing the digital transformation of pharmacy services across the M42 network. The role connects Pharmacy Operations, Clinical Informatics, and Information Technology to make sure pharmacy systems enable safe, efficient, and standardized medication management while supporting patient care, operational performance, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning, deployment, enhancement, and oversight of pharmacy information systems across the M42 network.
  • Shape and deliver the pharmacy informatics plan so it aligns with the wider digital health and clinical excellence agenda.
  • Manage pharmacy system setup and optimization, including EMR pharmacy components, medication management platforms, formulary creation, and clinical decision support tools.
  • Work closely with pharmacy, clinical, nursing, and IT teams to improve medication workflows and encourage strong user adoption.
  • Ensure pharmacy platforms work smoothly with other healthcare systems such as EMRs, automation tools, inventory systems, and robotics solutions.
  • Lead testing, validation, upgrades, configuration governance, and change management activities for system improvements.
  • Support medication safety efforts by using digital tools, alerts, reporting, and compliance monitoring effectively.
  • Create and use dashboards and analytics to support quality improvement, operational results, and regulatory reporting needs.

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or another related healthcare discipline.
  • Be a registered pharmacist with a valid professional license.
  • Bring at least 5 years of experience in pharmacy informatics, clinical systems, healthcare technology, or a similar healthcare IT setting.
  • Have practical experience with pharmacy systems and medication management tools, including EMR platforms, preferably Cerner.
  • Understand medication-use workflows, clinical decision support, formulary administration, and medication safety systems.
  • Show strong leadership, stakeholder coordination, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability in complex healthcare settings.
