Project / Planning Engineer

Role Overview

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a seasoned Project / Planning Engineer to support demanding Oil & Gas and Energy Engineering assignments in Doha, Qatar. This position focuses on structured project planning, schedule governance, execution tracking, and delivery control, with particular emphasis on rotating equipment and turbo machinery-related projects.

What You Will Do

• Drive planning activities across the full lifecycle of Oil & Gas and energy engineering projects.
• Create and manage baseline, recovery, and updated schedules, while keeping them aligned with project targets.
• Track milestones and make sure project deliverables are completed within approved timelines.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning stakeholders.
• Use MS Project and Primavera to monitor progress and maintain schedule control.
• Prepare progress updates, status summaries, and forecasting inputs for management review.
• Spot delays, risks, and schedule constraints, then recommend practical corrective measures.
• Confirm that execution remains consistent with engineering standards and customer expectations.
• Assist with planning for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of rotating assets such as turbines, compressors, and pumps.
• Take ownership of planning tasks or support larger projects under senior project control or planning leadership.
• Balance resources, coordinate workloads, and manage subcontractor interfaces as needed.
• Keep planning records, project logs, and supporting documents ready for audits and reporting.

What We Need

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is compulsory.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in Oil & Gas or Energy Engineering projects.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a Project Engineer or Planning Engineer role, with direct involvement in execution or planning responsibilities.
• Practical experience with projects involving rotating equipment or turbo machinery systems.
• Strong familiarity with managing projects across concept, FEED, execution, and commissioning stages.
