Role Summary
The Research Assistant supports clinical trial operations by helping maintain protocol compliance and contributing to overall study objectives. This position follows FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and internal standard operating procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare source documentation for study visits.
- Carry out vital sign checks, ECGs, and phlebotomy procedures.
- Enter patient visit data accurately.
- Track and maintain lab kit inventory.
- Handle shipment and processing of specimens.
- Complete assigned protocol training sessions.
- Support routine administrative work such as filing, copying, and scanning.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support changing organizational priorities and objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
Applicants should be familiar with regulatory requirements, GCP, and ICH guidelines. The role also calls for understanding of medical terminology, strong organization, attention to detail, and effective communication in interpersonal, written, and verbal forms. Good interpersonal skills are important, and the candidate must be prepared to work a night shift.
Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree is preferred.
