Senior Executive

Purpose

This role focuses on maintaining excellent 3G, 4G, and 5G network performance, with particular attention to radio accessibility, retainability, and mobility. The position involves proactive planning, optimization, and monitoring of network behaviour from the user experience perspective.

The incumbent should be able to connect user satisfaction metrics such as NPS with network performance and use that insight to recommend expansion plans. The role also includes driving 5G transition approaches for major infrastructure work such as MRT lines, tunnels, and in-building coverage, while keeping service disruption to a minimum. In addition, the position supports SRAN 4G planning and optimization efforts, including the addition of bands and infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys for coverage improvement and retrofitting assignments.
• Optimize network performance to deliver a better experience for end users.
• Study performance trends, identify recurring issues, and work with cross-functional teams and vendors to implement corrective actions.
• Track, diagnose, isolate, fix, and evaluate the impact of faults across 3G, 4G, and 5G networks, including issues that affect customers.
• Provide tier-3 support for network alarms and customer complaints, and assist with emergency recovery during outages and system failures.
• Take part in and validate drive tests for software rollouts, network-element testing, and upgrade activities.
• Support network growth projects, integration of corporate networks, and trials or implementation of new features and services.
• Review network conditions proactively to reduce complaints and improve service quality for end users.
• Use vendor OSS tools for monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and data-based planning.
• Analyse user and network data to find and resolve interference, signal spill-over, and service degradation.
• Investigate customer complaints using call traces, performance data, and network statistics.
• Verify MRT, road tunnel, and in-building coverage ahead of quarterly IMDA QoS checks.
• Take action on optimization findings or escalate issues to support regulatory compliance.
• Work with internal teams, system integrators, vendors, and building owners to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support business case preparation and handle procurement activities through SAP Ariba, including purchase requisitions, compliance checks, and approvals.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in EEE or Computer Science is required.

Candidates with exposure to 3G/4G/5G technologies and basic programming knowledge will have an advantage. Useful programming and tooling exposure includes Java, C#, Python, Visual Studio, and MySQL.

A Class 3 or 3A driving licence is required.

The role may require occasional night work.
