Role overview
We are seeking a Store Person to join the Powell Industrial branch in Paget, Queensland. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday position sits within the operations team and supports the smooth movement of industrial products so customers receive their orders efficiently.
The role is hands-on and contributes to serving a wide range of industries across Australia. It involves branch-level store support, customer contact, stock handling, and local delivery assistance.

Key responsibilities
You will help keep the branch running efficiently by supporting daily store activity, managing stock movement, and assisting customers and internal teams.
- Support everyday branch operations to ensure the store runs effectively.
- Handle customer enquiries by phone and email, including questions about products, pricing, orders, stock availability, delivery status, and accounts.
- Work closely with other departments to maintain a high standard of service.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery to move goods safely.
- Assist with inventory control and stock management tasks.
- Help with local deliveries to customers when required.
- Prepare customer orders for dispatch, receive incoming goods, and store them correctly in line with procedures.
- Carry out physical manual handling and heavy lifting as part of the role.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in customer service, warehousing, or a similar environment is preferred.
- A current driver’s licence is required.
- A forklift licence is an advantage, but not essential.
- You should be committed to safety and to keeping the workplace tidy and well organised.
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner are important.
- You need a practical, customer-focused approach with good problem-solving ability.
- Experience in industrial hose, hydraulics, or a related industrial field would be beneficial.
