About the Role

LightWork AI is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to take ownership of hiring from start to finish and help build a recruiting function shaped around AI-driven work. The role covers hiring across technical, product, operations, and business functions, with Claude expected to be used as a daily partner for sourcing, screening, summarising interview feedback, drafting communication, and creating small automations.

This is not a role for someone who plans to adopt AI later. The company wants someone who already works this way and can demonstrate it clearly. It is a dedicated full-time position, and applicants cannot hold another job or be enrolled in concurrent studies. Candidates based outside the UK must be available to work hours aligned with UK business time, roughly 9:00–18:00 GMT/BST.

Recruitment Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of hiring across technical, product, operations, and business roles.
  • Find candidates using LinkedIn, GitHub, Kaggle, job boards, and specialist platforms such as Jack & Jill and Jumpstart, with AI helping to improve sourcing, outreach, and research.
  • Assess, interview, and move candidates through the hiring funnel quickly and effectively in a startup environment.
  • Create and refine hiring SOPs so they are reusable and suitable for AI-supported execution rather than being dependent on memory alone.
  • Handle several open roles at once while maintaining hiring quality.

AI & Automation Responsibilities

  • Use Claude or similar LLM tools every day for candidate research, outreach drafts, screening summaries, interview preparation, and offer communication.
  • Build and maintain lightweight recruiting automations for scheduling, CRM upkeep, and pipeline reporting using tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or scripts generated with the help of an LLM.
  • Develop prompts and repeatable workflows that the wider team can reuse, treating the recruiting process like a product.
  • Track how AI affects recruiting outcomes such as time-to-hire, sourcing volume, and candidate response rates, then communicate the improvements achieved.

People Operations Support

  • Help new hires settle in with a structured and positive onboarding experience.
  • Support employee lifecycle tasks such as contracts, documentation, and offboarding, automating where practical.
  • Serve as the first contact for HR-related questions and help maintain people policies as the organisation grows.
  • Assist with performance review cycles and escalate people-related issues to leadership when needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of recruitment experience, whether in-house, agency, or a combination of both.
  • Demonstrated success hiring for both technical and non-technical roles.
  • Experience recruiting for European or US markets.
  • Day-to-day, fluent use of LLM tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini in real recruiting work, with the ability to discuss your workflow and share actual prompts, outputs, or automations in an interview.
  • Practical understanding of HR fundamentals, including employment basics, onboarding, documentation, and employee relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, since this person will often be the first point of contact for the company.
  • Comfort working independently, juggling priorities, and moving quickly.
