Role overview
This role focuses on accurate, timely processing of trade contracts within the system, along with amendments, physical contract issuance, and setup of counterparties. It supports contract administration activities for the Asia Pacific region at Bunge and is an individual contributor position aimed at helping shape a streamlined and self-sufficient contract administration team.
Key responsibilities
- Enter purchase and sales contracts into the system and process related amendments.
- Create master records for newly added contractual counterparties.
- Handle futures pricing allocation, futures price rolling, and overfill/underfill pricing.
- Issue contracts using Bunge’s standard contractual terms.
- Review contract documents prepared by third parties.
- Prepare and maintain records in line with company policies and procedure requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders on routine operational matters.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Reconcile records at month-end.
- Resolve queries quickly and accurately with a solution-oriented approach.
- Suggest process improvements aligned with industry best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and related projects.
- Support audits by providing required information, documents, and reports, and follow corrective and preventive actions after audits as directed by the team lead.
- Guide teammates and share knowledge, practices, and useful work methods.
Required skills and knowledge
The role calls for strong behavioral and technical capability, including data-based decision-making, a customer-focused mindset, collaboration, clear communication, initiative, and the ability to stay effective through change or challenge. On the technical side, candidates should understand commodity contract entry and issuance for bulk and container shipments of agri-commodities, including GAFTA and FOSFA contract rules. Knowledge of the contract lifecycle, Incoterms, logistics, and shipping documents is important. Strong English communication skills are required, and additional foreign language ability is an advantage. Comfort with Microsoft Office tools is expected, and SAP experience is a plus.
Experience and education
The position is intended for professionals with 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role or within an international commodity company. A graduation degree is the minimum education requirement, while post-graduation is considered beneficial. Experience with commodity contracts and familiarity with GAFTA/FOSFA rules is preferred.
Additional notes
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mohali district, India. It is an individual contributor role with the long-term goal of supporting the development of an efficient contract administration function for the Asia Pacific region.
