Truck Driver

Role overview

SAFEX TRANSPORT is hiring a truck driver in Moncton, New Brunswick. This is a full-time, on-site position, which means the work must be done at the physical workplace and cannot be performed remotely.

Language requirement

English fluency is required.

Education and experience

A secondary school graduation certificate is needed. Previous experience is considered an asset, but it is not mandatory.

What the job involves

• Handle loading and unloading of cargo.
• Secure any permits and supporting papers needed for cross-border cargo movement.
• Drive straight or articulated trucks to move goods and materials.
• Check the vehicle’s condition, including tires, lights, brakes, refrigerated equipment, and other components.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and monitor the overall condition of the vehicle.
• Communicate updates and instructions with central dispatch.
• Tarp loads and maintain the safety and security of transported goods.

Licences and credentials

• AZ class licence.
• Air brakes endorsement.
• Driver’s licence class 1 or A.

Documentation knowledge

• Accident or incident reports.
• Bill of lading.
• Driver logbook.
• Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection reports.
• Trip reports.
