Value Creation Consultant

About the role

CFGI is hiring a Consultant to help drive value creation efforts for private equity clients, strengthen operational performance programs, and contribute to internal strategic initiatives. The position centers on keeping initiatives moving, organizing program delivery, analyzing business performance, and preparing leadership-ready materials. You will work closely with CFGI’s leadership team to monitor progress, flag risks early, develop actionable insights, and help deliver measurable outcomes.

What you will do

• Help build playbooks and practical frameworks for value creation and operational improvement.
• Coordinate the tracking of initiatives, milestones, and performance metrics.
• Set up and maintain governance assets such as workplans, risk logs, dashboards, and status reports.
• Prepare support for executive operating reviews, steering committee sessions, and leadership communications.
• Analyze operational, market, and overall business performance.
• Create executive dashboards, scorecards, and presentation decks suitable for board-level review.
• Monitor KPIs, risks, dependencies, and implementation progress across multiple workstreams.
• Bring together stakeholders from different functions to keep initiatives aligned and moving forward.
• Translate detailed analyses into concise insights and clear recommendations.
• Contribute to strategic work and special projects across the business.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Analytics, or a similar discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business analytics, operations, program management, or improvement-focused roles.
• Strong analytical thinking and a disciplined approach to problem-solving.
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent planning, prioritization, and project coordination skills.
• Comfort handling several workstreams and deadlines at the same time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation ability.

Preferred background

• Prior experience with a top-tier consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, another major consulting firm, or in corporate strategy, operations, or a private equity-backed environment.
• Hands-on exposure to value creation, operational improvement, or performance management programs.
• Experience producing executive dashboards, KPI reports, or leadership-facing materials.
• Exposure to private equity clients or portfolio companies is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting governance routines, executive meetings, or cross-functional initiatives.
