Role Summary

As an Associate Data Scientist specializing in Artificial Intelligence, you will combine analytical thinking with business understanding to solve cognitive computing problems. The position centers on designing and delivering AI solutions with modern technologies, particularly foundation models and large language models.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI solutions using modern technologies, with a strong emphasis on foundation models and large language models, including familiarity with tools such as GitHub Copilot and Amazon CodeWhisperer.
• Build cognitive solutions that can work with both structured and unstructured data, drawing on NLP, machine learning, and specialized areas such as image processing, video processing, voice processing, or Watson technologies.
• Use Python and AI frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Hugging Face to develop, train, and deploy models.
• Handle the AI solution lifecycle from research and prototyping through production rollout.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and apply AI to create value and solve cognitive computing problems.

Required Technical Expertise

• Exposure to advanced analytics for structured data, including analysis and interpretation to support decision-making.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Hugging Face, along with tools like GitHub Copilot and Amazon CodeWhisperer.
• Strong Python programming ability for developing and deploying AI models.
• Working knowledge of NLP and ML methods for unstructured content, including foundation models and large language models.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as relational and NoSQL databases like SQL, Postgres, DB2, and MongoDB.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with front-end/UI frameworks such as Backbone.js, AngularJS, React.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
• Understanding of libraries such as scikit-learn, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
• Exposure to working across operating systems including Linux, Windows, iOS, and Android.
