Role overview

Based in Singapore and working on site, this Contract Manager position supports rail signalling and safety projects that contribute to safer and more efficient railway operations around the world. The role sits within project and bid activities and covers work from tender preparation through to post-contract administration.

What you will do

You will provide contract support across multiple bids and projects, working closely with project managers, bid managers, and wider project teams. The position involves reviewing contractual matters, advising stakeholders, and helping manage project risks, claims, variations, and milestone tracking.

You will also support the preparation and handling of agreements such as contract documents, memorandums of understanding, non-disclosure agreements, and other team arrangements in line with company policies. In addition, you will assist with monthly reporting, procurement-related activities, and discussions with project and bid teams.

Key duties

• Participate in the full project lifecycle, from tender stage through post-contract administration, with a focus on contract review and guidance.
• Support several projects and bids at the same time.
• Coordinate closely with project managers and bid managers on assigned work.
• Manage claims end to end, including claim logs, issue-gap identification, extensions of time, variations, and monthly progress reporting.
• Work with the Head of Contracts and the SEA Head on agreements such as contract agreements, MOUs, NDAs, and team-related documents aligned with company procedures.
• Clarify bid, project, and commercial agreement queries raised by project and bid teams.
• Track contract deliverables and project milestones to reduce delays and limit project risk.
• Support the Head of Contracts in project, bid, and procurement management activities.
• Attend bid and project meetings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should hold a degree or diploma in Electronics, Communication, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering. A background of 5 to 10 years in rail signalling, communications, security systems, building, civil, or similar projects is preferred. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in contract management, claims, and extension-of-time administration is essential.

Experience with project commercials is an advantage, as is familiarity with LTA, PSSCOC, and FIDIC contract forms. Knowledge of how projects and their terms and conditions are handled in Singapore is also important.

Strong English communication skills, the ability to work across Singapore and the SEA region, and advanced Microsoft Office capability are required. The role also calls for a proactive attitude, strong relationship-building skills, quick understanding of technical concepts, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to plan work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
