Role Overview
Spindrift is hiring a team-oriented Customer Operations Coordinator to support in-house customer service operations. Reporting to the Director of Customer Operations, this position is central to the coordination and execution of customer orders and fulfillment across the distribution network. The role ensures that orders move smoothly from receipt through delivery and invoicing while balancing customer needs, inventory levels, transportation limitations, and operational priorities.
This position works closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and customers to maintain strong service levels and reliable execution. The ideal candidate brings sharp problem-solving ability, strong systems knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full order process from order receipt through fulfillment, shipment, delivery, and invoicing.
- Track and prioritize a large number of customer orders across multiple fulfillment sites and delivery destinations.
- Make sure orders are entered and processed accurately while meeting customer-specific service expectations and requirements.
- Identify order issues, fulfillment bottlenecks, and shipment delays early and work to reduce customer impact.
- Act as a main point of contact for internal teams and customers on order status, delivery execution, inventory availability, and issue resolution.
- Work with Sales and Customer teams on customer programs, product launches, and service-related requirements.
- Handle customer compliance needs, routing directions, delivery appointments, and portal-based ordering tasks.
- Support resolution of claims, deductions, shortages, damages, and other delivery-related discrepancies.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with warehouses, carriers, logistics partners, and internal supply chain teams.
- Monitor shipment performance to help ensure orders are delivered complete and on schedule.
- Investigate and resolve transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment challenges that affect customer service.
- Look for opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, strengthen service, and reduce operational risk.
- Contribute to projects involving systems upgrades, process improvements, and scalable operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in order management, customer operations, logistics, supply chain, or similar operational work.
- Prior exposure to ERP systems, EDI tools, and customer portals is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of order-to-cash workflows, fulfillment operations, and customer service execution.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment in operational decision-making.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel and business systems.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and reliable in following through on tasks.
- Strong ownership mindset and accountability.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected base pay for this role is $55,000 to $60,000 annually, plus an annual incentive. This range reflects hiring expectations for the Greater Boston area, and final pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
