DevOps Engineer

Role overview

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to support reliable software delivery, cloud operations, and production stability. The role focuses on automating build and release workflows, managing infrastructure, and helping development teams ship changes safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines that handle application build, testing, and deployment steps.
• Oversee cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Set up and support Infrastructure as Code workflows using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and operate containerized workloads with Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, or AKS.
• Work with development, QA, and security teams to keep release cycles efficient and well-controlled.
• Track system health, uptime, and performance, and help define incident response and recovery practices.
• Maintain alignment with security standards, privacy requirements such as GDPR, and internal operational guidelines.
• Take part in an on-call schedule and assist with production incident handling.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of practical experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar function.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is necessary.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong command of Linux administration, shell scripting, and automation practices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for container deployment and management.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

Additional information

This position involves supporting production systems and participating in incident management, so responsiveness during on-call rotations is expected. The role also requires attention to operational quality, security, and compliance in day-to-day infrastructure work.
